Why is this hotel rated below 9,0? It was one of the best hotels of this rating and price we have ever stayed at. Access by car from the Autobahn was very easy. The staff at reception and breakfast were great. Checkin and checkout took no time at all. Parking was free of charge and accessible. There was a reasonable, if not great, choice of good quality breakfast food, and the staff always made sure we had everything we needed. Our room was really big, modern, well designed, spotlessly clean and comfortable. It came with a daily free bottle of water and Apfelschorle (in reusable bottles). Everything was well maintained. The air conditioning worked well, and you could also open the big, full length window for a breath of fresh air and a view over a peaceful, residential courtyard with some greenery. Despite closeness to the train tracks, which we did not see from the room, the location was very quiet - one could easily sleep undisturbed with the window open. There were no single use hygiene products in plastic containers in the bathrooms - instead the room came with a bar of soap in a cardboard box, and a mounted bottle of shower gel - cool. The location was great, on the edge of the old part of the city, with all of the tourist sites, restaurants, bars and cafes 10-15 minutes away on foot. The main train station, with adjoining bike and e-bike rental facility, was 7 minutes on foot away. Our stay at the hotel was good value for money with the quality of service we experienced.

Location is just outside the city centre so a bit less hectic than more central hotels. Pleasant 10 minute walk to the centre but there is also a regular bus service. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hygiene standards applied during the Coronavirus are good and managed sensitively. Rooms are modern and spotless. Free car parking at the hotel is also a bonus.

The location was ideal for me as I was visiting Regensburg by train. The hotel is situated in a quiet spacious area. The room exceeded my expectations and offered exceptional value for money. I hope to return to Regensburg and this will be the first hotel that I look at for availability and competitive accommodation charges.
